About the Role:

Join Opticomm's dynamic team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in our systems integration function. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying our OSS/BSS stack. Additionally, you will support various stakeholders with project-related activities and manage the daily operations of our Telco systems, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and manage the OSS/BSS stack
  • Test new software for network integration
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on system requirements
  • Design, develop, deploy, and manage application enhancements and upgrades
  • Create automated tests
  • Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations
  • Maintenance of Operational Support for OSS/BSS systems
  • Review and action RSP and internal tickets
  • Keep internal documentation up to date and expand the internal Wiki
  • Manage source control of software

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in PHP software engineering
  • Degree in computer systems design or computer science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions
  • Proficiency in PHP8
  • Extensive experience with Laravel Framework
  • Current proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and a modern JavaScript framework
  • Familiarity with PSR standards, PHPDoc comment styles, PHP8 or Hack
  • Knowledge of Composer and commonly used PHP libraries
  • Experience in developing and implementing APIs (REST/SOAP/etc.)
  • Proficient in Git basics: clone, branch, commit, merge
  • Telco experience (ISP or Wholesale)
