Job Description

About the Role:

Are you a forward-thinking network designer with a passion for cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions? Join us to design and plan fibre networks for Broadacre, Integrated Communications Networks (ICN), and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) developments, and play a key role in shaping the future of connectivity by contributing to the development and enhancement of design guidelines.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Create accurate design documentation for pit and pipe and fibre design standards.
  • Adhere to quality control processes and design standards for flexibility and cost efficiency.
  • Design fibre networks for Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and Broadacre developments.
  • Use AutoCAD and DAD for pit and pipe, and fibre network designs, including splicing.
  • Generate Bills of Materials (BoMs) from designs.
  • Provide design status updates and maintain detailed records of construction documentation.
  • Ensure document control procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate with OptiComm Project Managers and contractors for optimal design outcomes.

About you:

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in telecommunications network design for new developments and MDUs.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD.
