About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and driven People (HR) Business Partner who is looking to further develop their expertise in Employee Relations, Learning & Development, and strategic HR initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional eager to grow their skills in a dynamic national telecommunications business.
Working closely with the Head of People, you will gain hands-on experience in providing HR support, driving compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. You will develop your leadership skills while guiding managers, supporting HR projects, and implementing initiatives that contribute to the long-term success of the business. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to build a well-rounded HR skill set in an evolving and fast-paced environment. A full-time position is available, with the option for a part-time 4-day work week for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Support employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with the Fair Work Act, NES, and industry regulations.
- Assist in managing employee relations cases, workplace investigations, and policy updates.
- Provide guidance on contracts, terminations, redundancies, and performance management.
Managerial Capability & Leadership Development
- Partner with managers to develop leadership and people management skills.
- Support best-practice HR solutions for high-performing teams.
- Coach leaders on decision-making, communication, and conflict resolution.
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Identify skill gaps and support the design of training programs.
- Assist in delivering leadership training and onboarding initiatives.
- Support the development of learning content within the LMS.
WGEA Reporting & Compliance
- Contribute to WGEA reporting and statutory compliance requirements.
- Assist in developing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies.
- Support workforce planning for gender balance and equal opportunity.
Strategic HR & Business Partnership
- Align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Support workforce analytics and HR project implementation.
- Assist with change management and transition processes.
Operational HR Duties
- Contribute to recruitment, performance improvement, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support People initiatives, health & wellbeing programs, and compliance training.
- Assist in career development and succession planning.
- Support the management of visa sponsorship applications.

Essential Experience & Skills:
- Degree qualified in Human Resources or a related field.
- Prior experience in an HR-related role, preferably in a business partnering capacity.
- Interest in Learning & Development, with experience in content development being a plus.
- Knowledge of employment law, Awards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and workforce analytics.
- Change management exposure (highly desirable).
