Job Description

Join our Opticomm team at Uniti Group

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive and manage the development of new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) opportunities and projects across greenfield markets. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and advancing innovative projects, enhancing our service offerings, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience selling to the property development market, with a strong, proven track record in business development and driving growth. This includes a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, opportunities, and regulatory environments. Successful management of projects or accounts in this sector and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles while building strong relationships with key stakeholders are essential. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team nationally to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of Telco/communication solutions to the development community across the state
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, both locally and interstate, as a brand ambassador
  • Actively engage with industry groups to advocate for Opticomm's objectives and foster connections
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term client relationships
  • Prepare and deliver detailed weekly and monthly sales performance reports
  • Proactively follow up on leads and opportunities generated through marketing campaigns
  • Leverage CRM and internal tools to maintain a robust opportunity pipeline
  • Support Project Managers and internal teams to coordinate client communications and ensure successful project delivery
  • Assist with tenders, quoting, and the preparation of sales documentation
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and support administrative processes including invoicing and order management
  • Help plan and execute customer events, training sessions, and marketing campaigns as required

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive experience selling to the property development market
  • A sales powerhouse with a proven track record of driving business growth and winning new opportunities
  • Previous experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Strong ability to communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships
  • Proficient in using CRM tools to manage and track sales pipelines
  • Ability to work independently to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams and generating sales reports
