About the Role:
The Senior Software Engineer is a senior member of the FoneDynamics Software Development team, responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting FoneDynamics systems, as well as integrating and maintaining third-party software.
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our systems. This includes contributing to critical operational support as part of the on-call roster when required.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Work with Product and Development Managers and Operations to define technical requirements, specifications, and key architectural decisions
- Lead the development of commercial and enterprise software that meets functional and technical requirements
- Ensure adherence to testing strategies, quality assurance protocols, and safe coding practices to maintain high-performance, reliable applications
- Deploy software updates to staging and production environments, including out-of-hours deployments as needed
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and reviews
- Follow source control and branching strategies, performing code reviews and ensuring team compliance with coding standards
- Mentor and coach team members, sharing knowledge and technical guidance to strengthen overall team capabilities
- Drive innovation through research, prototyping, and proof-of-concept development
- Address escalated support tickets promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Manage configuration and ongoing administration of hosted software environments and third-party systems
- Participate in the on-call roster as required to support critical systems and ensure uptime

Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing software solutions in production environments
- Advanced development experience in .NET
- Up-to-date front-end skills, including HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks such as Vue.js and Angular
- Experience with database management, SQL scripting, and API development (REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Proficiency with Git for version control, including cloning, branching, committing, and merging
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement practices
- Experience in telecommunications or digital infrastructure is an advantage
