About the Role:

We are seeking an Automation / AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation and AI solutions that improve operational efficiency and unlock valuable data insights across the business.

Working closely with teams across Wholesale, Retail, and CPaaS, you will identify automation opportunities, build AI-enabled workflows, and integrate smart tools into operational processes.

This role plays a key part in driving innovation and supporting the organisation’s technology strategy by delivering practical, secure, and scalable automation solutions using technologies such as AI, machine learning, and intelligent data platforms.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to streamline internal processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows through automation technologies, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Develop scalable automation frameworks and reusable components to support efficient solution delivery.
  • Design and implement AI-driven tools to enhance decision-making, operational insights, and customer experience.
  • Develop AI-enabled solutions including intelligent agents, natural language processing tools, predictive models, and data-driven automation.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate operational challenges into automation and AI solutions.
  • Analyse workflows across business units to identify high-impact automation and process optimisation opportunities.
  • Integrate automation and AI capabilities across enterprise systems, data platforms, and operational tools.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, scripts, and connectors to enable secure system interoperability and data exchange.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of automation initiatives, including productivity improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and privacy standards.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and pilot innovative solutions that support continuous improvement.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Automation Platforms: Experience developing automation solutions using modern tools, scripting, and APIs.
  • AI & Machine Learning: Experience implementing AI or intelligent automation solutions.
  • Programming: Proficiency in languages such as PHP, C#, or Python.
  • Systems Integration: Experience integrating systems via APIs and workflow automation platforms.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with modern cloud environments supporting AI and automation.
  • Data & Analytics: Experience working with data pipelines or analytics platforms.
  • Security Awareness: Understanding of secure development practices, data governance, and compliance standards.
  • Experience: 3–7+ years in software development, automation engineering, AI engineering, or similar roles.
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
