About the Role:

We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) opportunities and projects across greenfield markets.

This is a true hunter role, suited to a commercially driven self-starter who thrives on creating opportunity, opening doors, and winning new business. You will play a key role in identifying and securing innovative projects, expanding market presence, and strengthening Opticomm’s position within the telecommunications and infrastructure space.

You will bring strong experience selling complex solutions into large and diverse stakeholder environments, with the ability to navigate long sales cycles, influence decision-makers, and consistently deliver growth in competitive markets.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the national Sales Team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across greenfield developments
  • Confidently communicate the value of our telco and communications solutions to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, both locally and interstate
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Proactively manage a robust pipeline using CRM systems and internal tools
  • Follow up and convert leads generated through marketing campaigns
  • Support project and internal teams to ensure seamless client engagement and successful project delivery
  • Assist with tenders, proposals, quoting, and sales documentation
  • Deliver accurate weekly and monthly sales reporting
  • Contribute to customer events, training sessions, and marketing initiatives

Essential Experience:

  • Proven track record as a high-performing sales professional with success in winning new business
  • Experience selling complex solutions in a B2B environment
  • Strong ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining senior client relationships
  • Proficiency using CRM systems to manage pipelines and sales activity
  • Ability to work autonomously and consistently meet or exceed KPIs
  • Experience working alongside marketing teams and producing sales performance reporting
